Three problems. One physics.

Communication, positioning and sensing have always been engineered as three separate problems: three waveforms, three slices of spectrum, three hardware stacks. Yet the underlying physics is the same. A single technology can carry a message, measure a distance and prove physical presence. The separation is an artifact of traditional engineering, not a law of nature.

Out Of Band, by design

OOBi does not use any existing radio technology. Our signals travel through alternative physical media: acoustic, mechanical, electric field, magnetic field, light. No RF spectrum, no radio stack, no legacy constraints.

One technology. Three functions.

Communicate

Instant, bidirectional links between any two devices. No pairing, no codes, no network required.

Position

Distance and direction measured in-band, by time of flight. No anchors, no dedicated infrastructure.

Sense

The same wavefronts map spaces, detect obstacles and reveal human presence. No cameras, no LiDAR.

Fully offline

The link and its guarantees exist between the devices themselves. Authentication, transactions and provisioning complete their local handshake with no network at all.

On smartphones and embedded devices

The baseband runs in software on ordinary smartphones, tablets and laptops, and as firmware on existing MCUs and MPUs. No dedicated silicon, no infrastructure to deploy.

Simple and transparent

No pairing, no codes, no configuration: the link is simply there when two devices are. One integrated stack, transparent at the application layer.

04 · LAYER 1

Security by physics

On an Out Of Band channel, physical proximity becomes a cryptographic primitive. Replay, man-in-the-middle and relay attacks are not filtered out by protocol logic: they are excluded by the physics of the channel.

REPLAY

Every exchange is bound to the time and place where it happens. A captured signal is useless if retransmitted.

MITM

No third party can insert itself into the channel: physical proximity is part of the cryptographic handshake.

RELAY

Distance is measured by the physics of the channel, with in-band time of flight, not declared by a protocol.

ZERO RF

Communication without electromagnetic radiation: nothing to intercept outside the room.

On hardware you already own

The OOBi baseband runs in software on ordinary smartphones, tablets and laptops, and as firmware on existing microcontrollers. No dedicated silicon, no exotic components, no infrastructure to deploy.
